18. August – ROT❤ GELD💛 GRÜN💚 anstreichen im Kalender FAT FREDDYS DROP LiVE on STAGE @ Conrad Sohm Kulturfestival!

August 2018 beim 7. Conrad Sohm Kultursommer-Festival!

As you know, Fat Freddy’s Drop is a band that likes to eat very well and sometimes puts their instruments out of hand and cooks for their proper diet. But if the New Zealanders write „Something cooking in the kitchen for 2018“ on their homepage, they certainly will not think of meals and will not just quote their big track „The Nod“. Rather, one can expect that the guys from Wellington work on the successor of their studio record „Bays“ from the year 2015 and that the mostly seven-headed band – on stage it can be a few more people – also goes on tour again.

More than ten years ago, the Groovemonster mixed reverb and delay, brass, a fat and funky rhythm section and DJ, soul, reggae, dub, jazz, hip-hop beats and half a dozen other danceable styles on their debut album „Based On A True Story“ The boys are ready for complete relaxation and fabulous live experiences. At first it always took a while for the show to pick up (if you believe veterans, they all sounded like three hours earlier), but even if the tracks live like 10 to 20 minutes, the sets are something these days focussiert and the party is actually going on with entering the stage and the first delicate tune!

If you believe the band, this style variety is due to the seclusion of New Zealand. One has too few own musical roots and therefore does not have to adhere to traditions. It really does not matter where the creativity and laxity come from, with which Fat Freddy’s Drop turns every concert into a big party. It does not matter if they are their legendary and often very funny mash-up cover versions or of course their own tracks: Fat Freddy’s Drop is the guarantee for a really big performance and sweaty clothes – also on 18th August 2018 at the 7th Conrad Sohm Cultural Summer -Festival!

Gardna brings a strong presence to the stage where he invites the audience into his world of late nights, big bad sounds and a carefree attitude – peace and dub. Bristol lyricist on a Dubwise tip.
Harbouring real passion for music culture and being blessed as a wordsmith has allowed Gardna to approach the music game from a fresh perspe ctive to truly make an impact on the worldwide underground music circuit.
2017 saw a string of inspired releases, concentrated on his label Boom Sound Recordings and featuring with Born on Road amongst others. His unique flare has sparked off collaborations with top end producers and vocalists whilst his celebrated live show goes off with an ever-growing-louder bang.
To develop a simple MC style into a full live show has taken a lot of strength and commitment. Direct help and support comes from partners in crime; Kreed, Ed West, Eva Lazarus, Dreadsquad, The Nextmen, Tiffani Juno – the list keeps growing and the melting pot is always simmering.
