Schlachthofbronx wird im Januar 2008 im Münchner Schlachthofviertel von den drei DJs Subbass-Commandante Graf von Stierenfroed, Bass-King T und DJ King Augenring gegründet. 2009 erscheint das erste Album Schlachthofbronx auf dem Münchner Plattenlabel Disko B und Schlachthofbronx werden in arte Tracks vorgestellt. Es folgt eine Tour durch Europa und Südafrika. Das Trio schrumpft zum Duo und 2010 folgen weltweite Auftritte in Russland, Mexiko, Kanada, USA (SXSW-Festival in Austin) und auf diversen Festivals in Europa wie z.B. Sónar, Lowlands, Roskilde, Eurokennes, Frequency, Dour oder Melt. Ende des Jahres begleiten sie M.I.A. auf ihrer Europatour.

2011 erschienen mit Nasty Bass und der Chambacu Remix EP zwei EPs beim renommierten Mad Decent-Label von Diplo und 2012 erscheint das zweite Album Dirty Dancing, wiederum auf Disko B.

Schlachthofbronx mischt Musikstile verschiedener Kulturen mit elektronischen Beats. On3 bezeichnet die Musik als „ein Hybrid aus Ghetto Tech, Kuduro, Baltimore Club, Dubstep und Miami Bass“ während die Süddeutsche Zeitung „Elektro, Dancehall, Dub, Kuduro und Baile Funk“ nennt.

Funkanomics are three bassmusic heads from the south of Germany, who like to bring their own style to their music. A sound that is designed for the dance floor and made up of beautiful crunchy basslines, coupled with pumping grooves.

They have made waves over the past years with some impressive tours and performing in more than 10 different countries. The boys are also widely recognized in their own backyard of southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where they hold down numerous club gigs. The Trio was a lucky invitee to headline the benchmark Canadian Festival “Shambhala” on Fractal Forest stage alongside the world’s best nu-funk spectrum of DJs and Producers. They also were guests at the awesome Fusion Festival in Germany over the 2012 summer.

Looking at their beloved mixes and releases on labels like Ghetto Funk, Jalapeno, Milk&Sugar, Fort Knox Recordings, Manmade and many more, these guys have the musical formula that is guaranteed to get any party pumping, not confined to one genre. Their unique, quick, cross-genre mixing style, funked up in their very own way will be performed on 4 Turntables, 2 Mixers and 1 live interface.
